For this latest pack I am very excited to share four edits of original and amazing tracks I was recommended or came across after a recent trip to India (Kerala) for the first time.

The first track is a bit of a cheat as it is actually from Sri Lanka but my friend in Kerala put me on to this absolutely beautiful track called "Manike Mage Hithe" originally song in Sinhala: මැණිකේ මගේ හිතේ and translating as 'Precious in my Mind') by Yohani, Satheeshan Rathnayaka and Chamath Sangeeth. It was also a massive hit when it was released and covered in many other languages. Here's my take on it!

The second track is by a singer called Nanjiyamma who comes from a tribal community in Kerala and this track was part of the Malayalam film Ayyappanum Koshiyum. The track is written in Irula language and is just totally entrancing (also worth looking up the original on youtube!)

The third track is an absolutely killer track written in Tamil and translates as "Enjoy, My dear enjoy" by a singer called Dhee and featuring rapper Arivu while being produced by Santhosh Narayanan. It is a song that celebrates roots and a time when we lived in harmony with the earth so also very much fits my worldview!

The last track "Snake Charmer" is by a British-Punjabi singer and produced by UK bhangra legend, Sukshinder Shinda. So, this one a bit of a celebration of the British indian community and the huge wealthy of music that has emerged mixing roots and British music influences.

I hope you enjoy these little pirate edits that may or may not one day reach the rest of the world. For now they are for your ears only!
