about

This EP was released originally in 2012 a year after my first EP 'A Guide to the Birds of South America'. It came out through the now defunct Antartek Records who had released music by the likes of Matanza etc. Listening back this EP somehow still feels fresh to me and has a lot of roots in there.

Twentywell was the name of the street where my grandparents lived in Sheffield and where I spent a lot of time over the summers in the garden and the house filled with beautiful memories. Antofagasta was written about the mining town in Chile where I somehow ended up quite randomly couch surfing a few years before 2012 and had an unexpectedly wonderful time.

Suelta some of you might recognise ;) A very old 'edit' or sample from this cumbia classic. Cars and Bones meanwhile is built around a recording of cars going down the road in the house where I grew up, a noise that soundtracked my youth.
